FAQs | NuHealth Placenta Encapsulation Services

Frequently Asked Questions

It's never too late or too early to order our service. Our logistics team ensures that your kit is shipped within 24 hours of ordering. Even if you give birth before the kit arrives, as long as your placenta is stored in a sterile container and kept refrigerated or frozen until the kit arrives, it's safe for encapsulation.

Most hospitals are familiar with this practice. Once you're admitted, simply inform your nurse that you intend to keep your placenta. It's important to remember that it's your placenta, and you have every right to keep it. Should you have any questions or concerns, please call us at (708) 251-1058.

Our focus is on safety and maximizing nutrient absorption. Much of the nutritional benefit of oral supplements can be lost due to poor absorption. Our lab-based approach includes a proprietary disinfection and decontamination cycle to eliminate impurities and preserve your nutrients in their original form.

You are able to use your HSA to purchase your placenta encapsulation service.

For safety reasons, we don't encapsulate placentas if there's an active infection during birth like chorioamnionitis. However, testing positive for GBS during pregnancy doesn't affect the encapsulation process. If you have HIV, Hepatitis A, B, or C, we can't proceed with encapsulation. For other medical concerns, please reach out to us.

At NuHealth, we follow a strict ‘Chain of Custody’ procedure to ensure there is no possibility of miscommunication or cross-contamination. From the moment your kit arrives in the lab, it is tagged with a unique identifier. Our process is an unbroken path from raw material through production to your doorstep. There is no ‘hand-off’ from one specialist to another, so there is no possibility of communication errors.

The kit contains everything you need to collect and send your placenta to our lab, including a prepaid express shipping label.

You can expect to receive your pills in 3 to 5 business days, once we receive your placenta.

Placentas are unique, just like mothers. On average, our clients produce a placenta that yields around 150 capsules.
